EXCLUSIVE NEW SONG: Red Balloons 9
Feb

Exclusively here on Nelly Furtado Daily, I want to share with you the following unreleased song from a recording session made in 2010, most likely it was meant to be included in the also never released album “Lifestyle“. The song’s called “Red Ballons“, kind of childishly cute and nolstagic themed song with a very catchy chorus, it’s a demo for sure. I LOVE it!
It was produced by John Shanks (Natasha Bedingfield, Kelly Clarkson, Anastacia) and Nelly.

Hope you enjoy it, let me know what you think about it and…a thank you is always welcome…cheers!

Lyrics.

I wish one day all these unreleased tracks will see the light, we should beg Nelly, maybe a petition…Mmhhh

Updates on her Studio Sessions 14
Feb

Emmanuel Jal posted a photo of himself, Nelly and the following description: “An amazing session over the weekend with Nelly Furtado in preparation for my 5th studio album…”.

If you don’t remember him, he was part of the Nelly’s Back In the Studio post. It got kind of confusing now, he clearly specified ‘for his own fifth album‘ in this facebook post despite previous information. To be honest I still believe she was cooking up something of her own in that same studio, that same day.
Thoughts?

Say It Right (Azerbaijani version) 13
Feb

Whoa! You have to check these Azerbaijani guys pulling off an incredible Say It Right version of their own. I bet Nelly would really appreciate this. Sometimes it gets funny with the pronunciation, but the way they got the beat rearranged with typical Asiatic sounds and the melodic voices, you can feel the passion there.

I believe sometimes in the future she will have her asiatic moment and release a full album with these sounds. She kind of got there already in the past (2007 New Years Eve, I’m Like A Bird vs Asha Bhosle), It may stay in my dreams forever, but…anyone remembers Wait For You (from Loose)? Yeah, exactly.

Bigg Jigg’s Working On Nelly’s New Album 12
Feb

So here’s the receipt, trying to calmly say this, Nelly is working on a new album. With me still enjoying the fresh sounds of The Spirit Indestructible from beginning to end, I am madly in love with the idea of having more new music. Regarding this, a Nelstar’ fan asked Bigg Jigg (solo artist and music producer for T-Pain, Gucci Mane, Akon) wheter or not he is working with Nelly on her new project.

The question came out after Bigg Jigg got asked in this interview, how was it like working with Nelly.

Nelly’s back in the studio. 10
Feb

Whenever I write that title down I almost get emotional, we all know what that means. With the World Wide Web gone crazy for Red Balloons all we needed now was such news: Nelly is back in the studio for the recording of a song, we don’t exactly know for what project is that (a new album hopefully), but she is recording something and we, greedy fans, are very happy with that. More accurate, she was in a recording and writing session with Jeff Gunn, Emmanuel Jal and one more at the Orange Studios in Toronto. Source of this info below plus a photo of the quartet.
